Simple salad using pantry pulls and fresh ingredients, spicy store-bought buffalo sauce cooled down with homemade blue cheese dressing. Yum!
I love to have a salad for lunch almost every day. It can get boring so I'm always looking for a new and improved way to enjoy them. Salad kits have their place, but they are sustainably more expensive than making your own! I'm having a real moment with buffalo flavor these days and the dressing recipe is a adaptation on a recipe I made several times. Drool-worthy folks.
Ingredients for salad:
Romaine lettuce
Tomatoes
Cooked and chopped chicken tossed with Sweet Baby Ray's Buffalo Sauce
Red Onion
Any other veggies you like (cucumbers, peppers, carrots, etc.)
Directions:
In a bowl, mix the milk and vinegar together and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Add the blue cheese crumbles and slightly smash the crumbles with a fork. Add sour cream, mayo, sugar, and seasonings. Mix until well combined and leave in the fridge for several hours. The longer it sits, the better it gets!
Assemble your salad, dress, and enjoy :)
