Strawberry Jam Bars

These bars are a favorite and are so versatile. Easily serve as breakfast, a snack, or yummy treat!





Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup flour

  • 1 cup quick oats

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup white sugar

  • 2 sticks very cold butter, cut into small pieces

  • 1-1.5 cups strawberry jam (or any jam you like)

Directions:

  1. Add all the ingredients except the jam to a food processor.

  2. Pulse until the butter breaks up and evenly distributes into the dry ingredients. Keep pulsing until it nearly forms a dough.

  3. Dump half of the mixture into a 9x9 greased pan, press into the bottom to form a crust.

  4. Spread the jam over the entire surface of the crust.

  5. Sprinkle and lightly press the remainder of the crust mixture on top. You don't want to create another firm dough top so don't press together too hard.

  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes, until the top is golden brown.

  7. Cool completely before cutting. I like to keep mine in the refrigerator but room temperature is also fine.
