Grandma’s Buttermilk Pancakes

Light, fluffy, perfect! I always double this recipe for my family of 4.




Ingredients:

1 cup flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon sugar

1 egg

1 cup buttermilk

2 tablespoons oil


Directions:

  1. Add the dry ingredients to a bowl and stir to combine.

  2. In a small bowl whisk the egg and oil, add to the dry ingredients. Also add the buttermilk.

  3. Stir/fold the wet ingredients into the dry. The batter should have some lumps, don't overwork it.

  4. Heat a griddle over medium heat, add butter or cooking spray and make the pancakes!
