When I was in high school I worked in a local restaurant, "Jack's Butter" was one of the most popular items on the menu. This isn't the exact recipe, but here's my take on it and it is sooooo good.
Ingredients:
1 stick of softened butter
1/2 cups sour cream
1/4-1/2 cheddar cheese grated
1/4 cup real bacon bits
1-2 tablespoons of chopped fresh chives
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Combine the butter and sour cream until it comes together. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Refrigerate for several hours. Dollop on baked potatoes!
